Here’s a tasty classic soup like Grandma would make — if she had 10,000 grandkids! This popular power-food fills tummies throughout most of the year on our lunch menu. We serve it with bright green peas and wholesome breads to help kids get every last drop.
Starting well before sunrise on the day we serve it to your kids, our cooks make a stock from scratch using only mirepoix, spices, herbs and water. We then add a mix of fresh chicken breast and thighs to get the perfect fat content and visual appeal. The last ingredient is a gluten-free quinoa pasta that keeps its shape and colour in the soup without adding too much starch (that was tough for us to find!)
What’s not in the soup is just as important: no MSG, no artificial or natural flavours, and no side of nutrient-poor, stomach-filler soda crackers either! There are also no sweeteners, since the veggies we use are sweet enough.
Serving this soup to kids gives a warm feeling all over to their families and caregivers too!
