Our team of educators and volunteers go into the classrooms and work directly with the kids. These dynamic workshops excite and empower kids into making their own healthy connections to food. Between July 2005 to August 2008 RFRK delivered more than 85 workshops to over 2500 children in childcare centres in the GTA.

We initiate connections between local food producers and our Real Food Community by organizing and facilitating farm and market visits for kids, teachers and parents. These sensory experiences gives both the kids and adults an opportunity to understand where their food comes from, discover the faces behind their produce and ultimately encourage them to shop locally and organically. From June 2007 - August 2008 we have delivered 40 workshops to children.
We help to make lunch time an important part of the day instead of just a pit stop on the way out to recess. After feeding them a great meal, we get kids excited to learn about nutrition, food and the environment. Each theme-based challenge provides elementary school kids with important principles in developing, appreciating and understanding real food and its connection to their bodies and their world.
The goal of the HHH program is to empower early childhood educators with the knowledge they need to integrate an active, informative and sustainable nutrition program into their existing curriculum.

We've developed a 10-month series of Body Detective workshops and we want to train you to bring them into your childcare centre! The Real Food Education Program provides workshop outlines and materials, and train one staff at your child care centre. This staff member is then able to run a powerful and exciting nutrition workshop series at your centre every year!
Our expert-led workshops provide parents with tools and resources on food and nutrition. We want to ensure that parents have all the support that they need to make sure that they are feeding their children and families the best possible food at home.
