RFRK Kitchen Party makes TasteTO headlines

How thrilled were we to have Sheryl from TasteTO show up at our Kitchen Party in May? (Answer: over-the-moon thrilled). In proof that our culinary creations impress both little palates and big palates alike, check out Sheryl's post-party thoughts here.

A few notes...

  • While we prefer whole grains and whole wheat pasta - we still use the white stuff in some recipes (our cheese tortellini is delicious, but whole wheat it isn't). We also haven't used spelt or kamut to replace white breads or pastas (but this is an idea we love).
  • Our meats are always free of added hormones and sub-therapeutic (also known as "routine") antibiotics.
  • We serve all types of healthy rice dishes (wild rice, red rice, brown rice, purple rice), however, millet and amaranth haven't been served as a white rice replacement. But should you try this at home? Most definitely.
  • Our Sweets From the Earth cakes are deliciously free of nuts, egg, dairy - but not gluten. (You can purchase gluten-free Sweets From the Earth cakes from retailers, though)
  • The dried apples and pears that we serve the kids? They're from LFP-certified Filsinger's Organic Orchard (and they're delicious!).
